A Make-Over Story

Until today, I was in the dark about how to change a blog background. As it turns out, it's really easy, but being new to the blogging community, I just hadn't found the right buttons and widgets and whatnot to get it done. So, once again, I find myself thanking Sara Bading for keeping me hip. Although she has been known to go MadDogJr. on people for copyright infringement, I didn't think she would mind if I used the link from her blog to go find my own blog background. So, big ups to you, Mrs. Fine-Arms Bading...you complete me.

In other news, Henry has 2 (very sharp) teeth, can roll over both ways, is almost sitting up, likes iced tea from the end of my straw, tried cotton candy flavored Italian Ice last night with the Burgess family, is sleeping 11 hours a night, says 'mama' and 'dada' when he sees us, makes itsy bitsy spider fingers by himself, loves children and doggies, thinks it's funny to blow raspberries with his mouth full of baby food, can splash tub water in a full 8-foot radius from the kitchen sink, and wants a cell phone of his very own as soon as possible. If you want/need a good laugh, just call us so that he can share his thoughts and lamentations with you. I promise, you won't hang up disappointed. Evidently, Grandpa knew what he was talking about when he said that Henry was going to be a talker just like his daddy was.

As for our New Year celebration plans, well, we have none. I know...booohooo. No, not really. We're looking forward to doing nothing, because we've been doing everything for too many days in a row. IF (and that's a big 'if')anyone is lucky enough to get us out of the house to join in their festivities, we will gladly show up unshowered and in our pajamas.

Oh, and two more things. First, please forgive my inability to post pictures on the blog for a few weeks...my camera was eaten by camera-gnomes at my grandmother's house on Christmas morning. Second, do you know the significance of the number "47"? No, it's not the number of hairs left on my head...I think that's more like 42. Nice try, though. No, the big 4-7 is, in fact, the number of pounds I've lost since the day Henry was born!! That's all of the baby weight plus some...woot woot.

WOW! Congrats! I am still working on losing the last 2 to 6 pounds of my baby weight, and Lorelai is 14 months old. You're awsome!
