uhhh dattt?

Who knows how long Henry's been asking this question. However many weeks it's been, I finally understood it on Monday. uhhh dattt = "What's that?"

Duh, mom.

In my own defense, it just didn't 'sound' like anything but baby babble...until he put accompanying finger-pointing with it. Then, at long last, it clicked. Since I've actually been able to 'answer' him - now that I know what the question is and all - I've noticed a huge shift in his mood, frustration level, and general behavior. Last week, I had a tantruming, angry, pissy boy on my hands almost every single day, and this week, he's making me look like Mother of the Year. Thank you, thank you, Henry.

To think, the key to an angel babe (for this week anyway) is answering a redundant question that, nine times out of ten, he already knows the answer to.

So, uhhh dattt? It's a freaking Christmas miracle, is what it is.

...and I love Reese Bading. My little Christmas miracle, on the other hand, must have heard me bragging on him yesterday; he decided to reward me with an all-nighter last night. Two to six...a mommy and Henry party. bleh.
