Butterfly, flutter by...

Welcome to our blog, family and friends.

If this is your first time here, please know that you can see older posts by clicking on the links on the right side of the page or at the bottom of the last blog on the current page (I sent out moving announcements early this week, so I'm expecting some new folks to be dropping by).

A new, cute baby trick...when I say, "Come on, Henry, let's go bye bye," he comes scrambling over as quickly as possible and climbs up my legs to be picked up. I caught some of this action on camera the other day...if he appears slightly confused, it's probably just that he's never seen a camera staring at him from behind mommy's legs... Yesterday, we enjoyed a treat of huge proportions. My friend, Kate, thought it would be fun to take the kiddos to the butterly exhibit at the Museum of Natural Science in Houston, and she was SO right. Henry loved every minute of it. He stared upwards oohing and aahing at the winged creatures and excitedly reached for them with awe and amazement. Sadly, my camera fogged in the rainforest, but Kate is sending her photos to me soon, so I'll post when I get those.

Here is Henry on his first train ride in Hermann Park. The train is a classic icon for all Houston kiddos...I still remember my mom taking us on it when we were little. And it's still a great way to start or end any trip to the Zoo or the Museum District.
Henry and his bud, Brady Z., after the butterflies. I know...my poor child is such a strolling advertisement for sunscreen....
See y'all next week!
